Over the past 12 months, Rob, Hila, Stella, Landon, Peta, Arthur, Katie, Bradley, Jesse, Jake, Alex, and I worked meticulously to deliver you a safety-focused, sober-curious, colorful, diverse, inclusive, rave-themed grassroots music festival. Unfortunately, we are forced to postpone this event until 2026.
A millionaire out-of-stater named Stuart Draper threatened to litigate us with zero grounds. The property owners and I cannot afford the time and fees required to go to court, despite knowing we would win. Apparently money talks.
Stuart Draper is the person who harassed and bullied our business partners into withdrawing from the inaugural Lovers and Lunatics festival, before he even knew what it was and before giving anyone a chance to experience it. He is a crybaby out-of-stater who inherited his wealth and 4.8 million-dollar estate from his millionaire parents. He has no business interfering with our Montana way of life or our Montana way of celebrating. If you wish to voice your opinion, he can be reached at 650-888-8956 and his email is stuart.draper@gmail.com.
We’ve decided to postpone the event until 2026. With only a week’s notice, there simply was not enough time to find a new venue, insurance, security and medical team, water, power, waste disposal, etc. for 300+ ticket buyers, 50+ staff and crew, 10+ volunteers, 8 vendors, 5 food trucks, 45 DJs, and each of their plus ones.
To all of the artists, thank you for trusting and supporting us. This event will return next year and we hope this setback does not impact our professional relationship or your confidence as an artist for your events to come.
To our ticket buyers, we have already begun the refund process. We have to go one-by-one, so it may take some time. Please reach out if you have any questions.
On behalf of the Lovers and Lunatics crew, we are so, so, sorry. Please reach out, we want to continue to talk about this to prevent it from ever happening again. Thank you ❤️

Montana’s electronic music culture is still in its youth, but growing rapidly. The scene tends to separate into two poles: the rhythms of house and techno enthusiasts, and the chaotic energy of the BASSHEADS. At L+L, our mission is to dissolve these boundaries and cross-pollinate. This year, we present two stages: the Lovers stage and the Lunatics stage.
The Lovers Stage is the groove chamber. Prepare for steady four-on-the-floor rhythms to lock you into flow.
The Lunatics Stage is basically a sensory blast-zone. Expect a range of low-frequency phenomena: wubs, growls, yois, and more advanced sonic lifeforms like neuros, knocks, and rollers.
